Abstract

We report herein on the zinc(II)-catalyzed synthesis of alkenes by the cross-coupling of acylsilanes with diazo esters. The reaction proceeds through a 1,2-addition of a diazo ester to acylsilanes, a 1,2-Brook rearrangement, followed by β-elimination of N2.
