Abstract

The reality we live in is still often characterised by the phenomenon of social inequality known as differentiation or stratification. In this kind of reality, many people do not cope with various personal and social difficulties. Some of them experience social exclusion defined as the result of various types of social disadvantage. The article explores the risk of social exclusion among parents raising a child with a disability. This is a very difficult issue to research due to the fact that it affects all members of the family, their bonds and feelings. The main problem of the research was formulated as a question: Do parents raising a child with a disability experience social exclusion and support in the local environment?
