Abstract

A new tin-rich heterocyclic compound is obtained by the reaction of tetramethyl-1,2-dichlorodistannane with sodium selenide in aqueous solution. The molecular conformation of the compound is described as a tin—selenium six-membered ring containing two tin—tin bonds. Spectroscopic data are given. The chair conformation is excluded by vibrational analysis data.
