Abstract

ZIF-8, ZIF-67 and ZIF-8/ZIF-67 were synthesized by room temperature static method and characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, BET, etc. The prepared materials were found to have high purity, good crystallinity, regular morphology and large specific surface area. The composite modification allows ZIF-8 to grow regularly on the surface of ZIF-67. The resulting composite ZIF-8/ZIF-67 can be enriched with adsorption sites on its surface while maintaining the structural properties of the raw material, and its pore size distribution is concentrated at 2–4 nm, and this dense pore size distribution provides more active sites for the adsorption of O3. The sensor prepared using ZIF-8/ZIF-67 exhibited a very high response value to O3, with a sensitivity of − 284.47 mV/decade, and the response value remained at 93.14% after six days of stable cycling tests, showing good sensitivity and stability. The above work can provide a new idea for the design of a new ozone sensor.
