Abstract
This Letter describes a calculation using superfield techniques, showing that the $\ensuremath{\beta}$ function is zero to three loops in $N=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. This result gives further indication that the theory is likely to be finite and conformally invariant order by order in perturbation theory.
