Abstract
This paper introduces a zero current switching (ZCS) type Class DE rectifier, along with design procedure, simulation and experimental results. The feature of ZCS type Class DE rectifier is that the diodes maintain ZCS and zero current derivative switching (ZCDS), therefore, switching losses and switching noise are reduced. The measured efficiency was 80.6% at 100 kHz. The experimental results show good agreement with the simulation results with PSIM. Moreover, the proposed circuit always satisfies ZCS and ZCDS even when the input voltage, the operating frequency, and the output resistance are changed.
