Abstract
In the course of the amendment to Federal Law I 2020/77, the „Fachhochschul-Studiengesetz“ (FHStG), previously known as the „Fachhochschul-Studiengesetz“ (FHStG), was renamed the „Fachhochschulgesetz“ (FHG); in the following, central information on this and the other important legal changes to the aforementioned amendment is presented. § 10 FHStG as the central reference point of the entire Fachhochschule-law undergoes significant changes that are intended to upgrade the “Kollegium” (academic council) and the conduct of the academic council toward the maintainer. In addition, the right of examination is also subject to changes. However, the following analysis of the amendment, taking into account its genesis and including the legislative material, will show that much would be possible even without this amendment, using the instrument of the “Satzung” (academic bylaws).
