Abstract
Now in the Russian Federation municipal reform during which studying of experience of Zemstvos in the organization of library work and other establishments can promote their more effective joint activity is carried out. Despite a considerable quantity of publications about zemstvos activity, the statistical reporting organization remains practically without attention of researchers. The data about the organization of statistical researches of zemsky library work with use of archival materials is generalized in the article.
