Abstract

Sports Facilities are one of the most important components that form the basis of sports. The quality of sports facilities is an important criterion in providing the best sports service to the society. The aim of this study is to try to reveal the main factors that determine the satisfaction level of Public and Private facilities in the center of Kocaeli. The study group of the research consists of individuals living in Kocaeli province. A total of 212 individuals, 104 men and 108 women, participated in the study. 58% of the participants preferred private sports facilities and 42% preferred public sports facilities. Demographic data in the study were obtained with a personal information form. The data to determine the satisfaction levels of the people who use the facilities were collected with the "Sports facilities customer satisfaction scale" (STMMÖ) developed by (Yaşar Y. 2013). The obtained data were analyzed with Spss 25 package program. As a result, as a result of the analyzes made to determine the satisfaction level of the participants with the sports facilities, according to the facility preference variable, "Changing rooms", "Sports area", "Quality of tools and equipments", "Trainers" and "Staff". Statistically significant differences were found in the sub-dimensions (p<0.05). It has been determined that public locker rooms and sports areas are better than private facilities. Public or Private facilities are required to measure the satisfaction level of their members at certain time intervals.
