Abstract
This article presents some properties and results of calculations of the AFPM's with Halbach array and composites rotor disks and compare it to machine with similar dimensions but with ferromagnetic disks. This paper presents an analysis of selected properties of AFPM with Halbach array. In this construction disks are made of composite material, and the magnetic flux is closed by an air gaps and the magnets only. The results have been compared with data calculated by device with identical dimensions but of a standard excitation where ferromagnetic rotor discs guide the magnetic flux. Presented are also generic results from calculations where coreless motor has been extended with additional stator (whose winding is assembled with the main disk in serial or parallel connection) and additional rotor disk with permanent magnets were stacked.
