Abstract

The paper reviews the growth in the number of residents and homes in the town of Krusevac in the period after liberation from the Turks until the 1980s. The main part of the paper contains tabulated occupations and birthplaces of residents of Krusevac based on the population census of 1884. Since the census of the town of Krusevac from 1884 has not been fully preserved in the State Archives of Serbia, the tables do not show the number of people engaged in a certain occupation or the number of people born outside the Principality/Kingdom of Serbia, but rather a list of occupations and origins shown according to the frequency of occurrence. The paper is written on the basis of unpublished and published sources and relevant literature
