Abstract

X-ray and Auger transition rates, transition energies, fluorescence yields, and nonradiative branching ratios are calculated for doubly excited 3 l 3 l ′ configurations of helilum-like chromium and nickel. The calculation has been performed using Hartree–Fock–Slater atomic model. Intermediate coupling and configuration interaction have been taken into account. The energies and widths are found to be strongly affected by configuration interaction. The Z dependence of transition rates are investigated for ions with atomic number Z = 10 , 14, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 using the present theoretical data and the data from some of our previous calculations.
