Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C11H9NO2, contains two molecules which are related by a pseudo-inversion centre and form an N—H⋯O hydrogen-bonded dimer. The least-squares planes through the non-H atoms of the molecules illustrate the overall molecular planarity. The molecules assume Z configurations about the exocyclic C=C bond. In the crystal, intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the molecules into infinite chains.
