Abstract

Nuclear structures of $_{{\mathrm{}}^{136}}$,1${\mathrm{}}_{62}^{38}$Sm and $_{{\mathrm{}}^{1}{\mathrm{}}_{60}^{32}}\mathrm{Nd}$ have been studied through heavy ion fusion reactions. In order to select particular reaction channels, charged particle-gamma coincidences were measured with a charged particle multiplicity filter ``silicon box.'' Yrast bands with spins up to 14 have been observed in all nuclei investigated. Lifetimes of excited states were also measured with the recoil distance method. The experimental results were compared with the interacting boson model predictions.
