Abstract

The youths voicing, protesting, and visiting service units to read notice boards are a gauge for youth’s responsible citizenship. The sample of 200 respondents was drawn randomly among the 300 targeted population. The study employed quantitative and qualitative methods in data collection, and descriptive statistics were generated. The study was conducted between 2018 and 2020. The key findings revealed that most youths are inadequately socialized to engage in social accountability for their welfare. Conclusively, youths were inadequately engaging in tracking surveys to demand accountability. The recommendation is that civic education in the educational curriculum should be enhanced.
