Abstract

The article reports that researchers from Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania have unveiled the results of their study which showed the ability of the brain to re-purpose everyday neural networks to learn science. Topics discussed include the occurrence of brain responses corresponding to scientific concepts in the same regions that activate when people view artistic patterns and the involvement of these regions in sensing periodicity.
