Abstract

A 20-year-old woman with no past medical history presented with 15 days of right-sided neck swelling and pain. She denied any trauma and had received a diagnosis of cervical strain 12 days earlier. Of note, she started taking oral contraceptives 3 months ago. Her vital signs were normal. On examination, there was a tender mass on the right anterolateral neck without erythema, fluctuance, soft tissue swelling, or facial plethora. Examination of the upper extremities and cardiopulmonary systems was normal.
