Abstract

A 35-year-old man was presented with right hand pain after a traffic collision with a motorcycle. Physical examination revealed a blood pressure of 133/94 mmHg, pulse rate of 94 beats/min, and normal physical examination findings. Extended focused assessment of sonography in trauma was negative. Laboratory tests showed a hemoglobin of 15.2 g/dL. Hand radiograph confirmed a right fifth metacarpal fracture with an angular deformity. Before orthopedic surgery, he had intermittent nausea without emesis.
