hose of you who have been following my columns from last year are aware of the external forces that have threatened and continue to threaten our practice at Towncrest Pharmacy. The most noteworthy threat we experienced was the significant reduction in reimbursement from pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). As the year progressed, though, a closely related threat began to emerge and became rampant among the major PBMs—the push to mail service pharmacy.
