Abstract

Abstract Date Presented 04/20/21 This pilot study investigated the effect of yoga on mood and occupational engagement in older adults. Five participants completed a 6-week yoga group. Changes in occupational performance pre- and postintervention were explored via interviews and questionnaires. Results show perceived improvement in occupational engagement and mood for four of five participants. Preliminary findings suggest meditative movement is an effective OT intervention for improving occupational engagement.
