Abstract

The article analyzes the renewal of eschatology in the 20th century taking into account two channels: the theological and the historical-cultural crisis of the early 20th century. The author proposes going through these two channels in order to recognize some of the causes that led to the resurgence of this theological treatise, relegated to a lethargic state in theology over the last centuries. The text closes with a mention of hope, a fundamental virtue to sustain the permanent renewal of eschatology.
