Abstract

When the historical trend of Erasmus program viewed it is seen that the most important phase of the program is the mobility of students and faculty members. The aim of the program is develop the quality of higher education and strengthen European dimension. The aim of this research to study the opinions of Giresun University students who went abroad through the Erasmus program and determine these students' suggestions to faculty members, the university management team, the university Erasmus coordinator unit and other students who want to go abroad. This study was carried out by using the method of qualitative research. Data were collected by interview from 24 Giresun University students.According to research results, University of Giresun students who studied abroad through the Erasmus program satisfied security and cleaning services most, satisfied sheltering service least in all of the services (health, nutrition, sheltering, social-cultural and sports activities, security and cleaning) offered by the host university. According to the cultural dimension of the program, students stated that, Erasmus Program gives opportunity to encounter different cultures so that, Erasmus program emphasized a positive contribution in the process of cultural exchange between communities
