Abstract

Catalytic pyrolysis of four kinds of hydrocarbons by using two kinds of Fe catalysts is carried out in a flow reactor to find optimum conditions for mass production of carbon whiskers. Yields of whisker were lower in order of benzene, toluene and coal liquefaction oil for raw materials and that ferrocene was effective as an iron catalyst.
