Abstract

After the Newtown, Connecticut mass murder, anti-rights politicians and media shifted into high gear. The only “solution” for such a tragedy was another gun ban. Within two days, Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced her version. Pundits like Washington Post’s Ezra Klein politicized the tragedy, claiming America is an unusually violent place, and the only answer is more gun control. There’s only one problem with all their hyperbole: It’s based upon myth and manipulated data. 1. Fiction 1: Armed Resistance Doesn’t Stop Mass Murders 2.
