Abstract
Tizanidine an imidazole derivative is a novel centrally acting muscle relaxant Adult case of tizanidine over dosage is expressed as coma miosis nistagmus and respiratory depression with Cheyne Stokes respiration There is limited experience with the drug in children and there have been no reported cases of tizanidine toxicity in a neonate In this paper a 25 day old neonate with tizanidine intoxication is presented to point out the hazard of improper use of drugs in the neonatal period Key words: Neonate Intoxication Tizanidine
