Abstract

The methodology for the predictive competence development in elementary school pupils with intellectual disabilities was created and implemented. The methodology aims to form predictive competence as an attitude and personal quality in the process of conducting classes in fine arts and to find out the conditions for attracting them to such activities. The main conditions for the presentation, forecasting, and planning skills development in elementary school pupils with intellectual disabilities are determined. Forecasting is considered in the work as an integral part of the following actions: creative imagination, regulatory planning, and control. The study proves the assumption that the effectiveness of forecasting depends on several conditions: on its nature, on theoretical foundations of the predicted issue, on the forecasting ability, organize activities etc. The study provides examples of the author's developments of classes, presents a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the effectiveness of the implementation of the methodology.
