Abstract

YBa2Cu3O7-y (YBCO) superconducting thin films were grown on Z-cut LiNbO3 substrate with buffer layers. The relationship between the properties of the films and buffer materials was studied. The highly c-axis-oriented film was obtained and lowering surface resistance (Rs) at 77 K was achieved by using Ag on MgO as a buffer layer.
