Abstract

Muhammediye, which has been drafted by Mehmed Yazicioglu in 15th century draws attention in terms of both content and continous production in the Ottoman religious works. This work which may help to understand how some topics such as life in the hereafter, doomsday and the life of prophets in the Ottoman world were perceived, has gained a different feature with the religious pictures that it includes especially with the use of the printing press in the late Ottoman Empire. Descriptions of heaven and hell in the Muhammediye printscome to the forefront due to quantity, showing the perception of heaven-hell in late period and a with a variety of different description mentality.In this study the author of Muhammediye and general information about the content, especially descriptions of heaven and hell, have been examined
