Abstract

The present study was conducted to investigate whether creative writing activities contributed to Turkic students learning Turkish. In the study where experimental design was adopted, control and experiment groups were composed among the freshmen students at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and they were trained for 12 hours. The data collected through an achivement test whose reliability and validiy were completed were analyzed by SPSS 15 program. At the end of the study, significant difference was found for experimental group in terms of achivement level. In other words, creative writing activities facilitated Turkic students learning Turkish.
