Abstract

This report is based on investigations [1,2] of six-vertex models by means of Bethe ansatz methods. A review on applications of Yang-Baxter algebras and the algebraic Bethe ansatz is presented. A θ-vacuum like angle appearing in the RSOS-models is discussed. The continuum limit in the critical case of these statistical models is performed to obtain the “minimal models” of conformal quantum field theory. The six-vertex model posesses SU(2)q “quantum symmetry”. Representations of the quantum group obtained by the Bethe ansatz are investigated.
