Abstract

In this research, importance of wild floras has been considered as nutrition material used in economic geographical point of view. In the research, soci-economic, nutrition, human health, etnological, folkloric and prehistoric aspects of wild flora is discussed. In the meanwhile, various classifications for flora of economical value is done. The subject held in the research are: Relations between human and flora in prehistoric ages; Geographical determination and social nutrition relations in economical geography; Nutrition view point on human-flora-nutrition relations in primitive ethnics; Cultural flora areas of the wold, classification and flora families; General status of geographical flora of Turkey; Seashore flora of Turkey; History of flora economical geography and Anatolia; Evaluation of flora families and richnesses of flora resources; Importance of wild and cultural nutrition flora; Nutrition and religious, irrational beliefs and magic trends in relations with flora; Vitamin values in flora from nutritional aspect and geographic factors in developing vitamin C; Flora relations with island populations and their flora nutrition; Aims of flora economical geography; General position and importance of food-population relations; Research developments done in modern agricultural technology of our times; Food prepared from wild and other flora and eaten in Anatolia, Mediteranean and Aegean islands.
