Abstract

To date environment is changed fast, due to the diverse background of generations, employees work values and job satisfaction may be vary in job market. The research purpose is to examine the relations among work values, job satisfaction, and quit intention in apparel industry; in addition to examine the difference between X and Y generation of research variables. This research used snowballing method to collect data. The target is the staff of apparel industries. Originally 275 completed surveys were received, after unusable surveys were removed, 250 usable questionnaires were left. Bivariate correlations analysis, independent samples T-test analysis, multivariate analysis of variances, and regression analysis, were used to examine the research hypotheses. The result found: (1) All factor of work values had significant positive relationship with job satisfaction, except the ”recreation health and traffic” had no relationship with job satisfaction in apparel industry employees. (2) There is no relationship found between work values and intention to quit. (3) All factor of job satisfaction had significant negative relationship with intention to quit, except ”working situation” factor of job satisfaction had no relationship with intention to quit. (4) The demographic variables had significant influence of work values, working satisfaction, and intention to quit.
