Abstract
Abstract A general discussion is given of the occurrence of anomalous spins among the odd mass nuclei. It is shown that the spin of 47Ti may be understood on the basis of the independent particle model provided proper account is taken of the charge independence of nuclear forces. 49V is predicted to have spin 5/2.
