Abstract
Antiprotons from the LEAR facility at CERN were stopped in targets of gaseous H 2 or D 2. Yields of L X-rays were measured. K-series X-rays from p-p atoms were observed. The measured shift and width for the 1s level are ΔE 1s = −0.73±0.15 keV. and Γ 1s = 0.85±0.39 keV.
