Abstract

Abstract The ferroelectric phase transition in RbHSeO4 has been examined by precise measurements of the temperature dependence of the unit-cell parameters using the Bond technique. The transition, at Tc = 370.6 K, is of first order and the triclinic unit cell of the ferroelectric phase transforms to an equitranslational monoclinic cell in the paraelectric phase. In a temperature region of several K below Tc reflections belonging to both phases have been observed.
