Abstract
X-ray diffraction and powder second harmonic generation (SHG) studies were carried out on KTiOPO 4 (KTP) synthesized under different conditions. Diffraction intensities of the doublet 221 and 022 and SHG signal variations in different KTP samples were studied and correlated to oxygen content in the samples. It is found that KTP sample synthesized in oxygen atmosphere shows stronger SHG signal.
