Abstract

Abstract The structures of copper(I) tert‑butyldithiocarboxylate (1a) of formula [t-BuCS2Cu]4 and copper(I) alkylperthiocarboxylates (2a) and (2b) of formula [RCS3Cu]4 [(2a) R = t-Bu, (2b) R = cyclohexyl], were investigated by using various spectroscopic tools including NMR (1H, 13C, 63Cu) spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Intermolecular interactions in the three crystal structures were further studied by Hirshfeld surface analysis, employing 3D molecular surface contours and 2D fingerprint plots.
