Abstract

A phenotypic female with clitoral enlargement was shown by chromosomal analysis of peripheral blood leukocytes to be an XO/XY mosaic. Histologically, the intra-abdominal gonads were dysgenetic testes. Tissue cultures from 2 areas of skin, uterus and both gonads revealed mosaicism in only 2 of the sites (one area of skin and one gonad). The remaining tissues were XO.
