Abstract

AbstractThe X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) technique has been used to characterize metallophthalocyanine sheet polymers having peripheral carboxyl groups. A comparative analysis of the XPS and electrical conductivity data of metal‐free, and nickel‐ and copper‐containing, phthalocyanine sheet polymers has been described. Metallophthalocyanine sheet polymers exhibited a maximum conductivity of about 1 S cm−1 on pyrolysis.
