Abstract

A significant enhancement of the anomalous transmission in the multiple-beam diffraction geometry 008/404/4̄04/044/04̄4 was experimentally examined using synchrotron radiation. The experiment was performed on the 1 km beamline BL29XU at the SPring-8 facility in Japan. High resolution rocking curves of the directly transmitted beam were measured in the vicinity of the exact backscattering position. A collimation effect in the transmitted beam was observed in a slit image. The experimental results were compared with theoretical simulations based on x-ray dynamical theory, and they were found to be in agreement with experimental ones.
