Abstract

The Kβ emission spectra of calcium, titanium, chromium, manganese and iron and oxidic compounds of these elements were investigated by means of the fluorescent method. The origin of the five main Kβ lines is discussed, their wavelengths are given and used to construct composite energy schemes. The dependence of the level positions on the chemical bond is discussed.
