X-ray crystal structures of K+ and Rb+ salts of [W(CN)6(bpy)]2− ion. The unusual cation–anion interactions and structure changes going from Li+ to Cs+ salts

Abstract

The K+ and Rb+ salts of [W(CN)6(bpy)]2− ion were compared to the Li+ and Cs+ ones. The layered structure is independent on cation radii and decreasing strength of the cation–anion interactions on going from Li+ to Cs+.
