Abstract

An X-ray camera assembly was designed and built to meet the need for a simple, easily constructable, readily evacuated unit which would be used for the routine microradiographic examination of biological specimens using different wavelengths of X-radiation. The assembly consists of a slotted photographic plate holder, and a light-proof camera body with facility for pressure equalization on both sides of fragile filters which are housed within the body. Different interchangeable filters add to the versatility of the camera. The performance of the camera is demonstrated.
