Abstract

Internationalization is a phenomenon characterized by mainly developed countries. Is conditioned by different motives, carries both costs and benefits. The article allows you to answer the question what is the meaning for the processes of internationalization is our country's membership in the European Union. Since 2004, the Polish entry into the European Union can be noted, growing Polish companies in foreign markets. Among them are the agro-food business. They become more and more competitive, due to modern manufacturing technology and good reputation of Polish food. Studies include the years 2000-2014 and allow you to observe changes in the geographic structure of the export agro-food products. Since accession to the EU is the rapid growth of exports, especially within the European countries. Increase the competitiveness of national companies was possible thanks to the inflow foreign direct investment. Funds and grants from the EU allowed many Polish businesses to gain significant and abroad. To evaluate progress in the international Polish enterprises was also an analysis of the internationalization of both before and after accession to the EU.
