Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this part of paper is presenting the current official data on foster care. Research Aim : Presenting the possibilities of using the solution-focused approach in the work of a specialist with children in family and institutional foster care. Evidence-based Facts : Characteristics of foster care charges. Presenting the theoretical foundations of the trend, the therapeutic interactions and techniques used in the solution-focused approach will be discussed from the practical perspective of a psychologist and pedagogue. Summary : The author will present her own reflections from work in foster care, indicating the difficulties and chances of applying the discussed approach in working with children and young people outside their biological family.
