Abstract

Wunderlich's syndrome, or spontaneous extracapsular haemorrhage is an unusual cause of the acute abdomen. Imaging is vital in establishing the size, progression and cause of this mass. Management depends on a number of factors including the patients haemodynamic status and presumed underlying pathology.
