Abstract

This article focuses on the safeguards measure case of “China vs. U.S. Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Products” and deeply explores the relevant issues related to safeguard measures in international trade remedies involved in this case. Research on this issue will help China better understand responding to related trade frictions in international trade has enabled China to change its passive position into an active position in dealing with such issues. This article explains the safeguard measure case of “China vs. United States Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Products” and then introduces the rules of the WTO safeguard measure system. It then analyzes the five focus points of dispute, focusing on the expert group’s analysis of the causal relationship in this case.
