Abstract
Background: Personal protective equipment (PPE) worn by healthcare personnel (HCP) can become contaminated with pathogens during care of patients with infectious diseases. Incorrect doffing of PPE can transfer pathogens from PPE to the bodies of HCP, putting HCP at risk of infection. The goal of this study is to describe PPE doffing practices used by HCP who care for patients with respiratory infections.
