Abstract

The Russian poet and first editor of the samizdat ‘Chronicle of Current Events’, Natalya Gorbanevskaya, who left the Soviet Union in December 1975 and now lives in Paris, gave a reading of her work at the 1976 International Poetry Festival in London. While over here, she paid a visit to the Index office, where she was interviewed by Michael Scammell.
