Abstract

The orthogonal polarization transmission system uses a pair of signals whose polarization directions are orthogonal to each other to transmit different information, so that double the amount of information can be transmitted in the same bandwidth, and its core device is an orthogonal mode transducer (OMT). Aiming at the bottleneck that there are few reports on orthogonal mode transducers in the terahertz band and the reported literature cannot achieve full-band operation, this paper designs a WR-4 full-band quadrature polarized power divider. Using the double symmetrical reverse coupler, the double geometric symmetrical structure of the device is realized, thereby increasing the isolation between the two orthogonal signals, so that the device realizes the separation and equal output of the two signals in the full frequency band. It provides a new idea for the application of the orthogonal polarization mode transmission system in the terahertz frequency band in the future.
